en We had her playing more facing the basket. She saw the floor real well this season. We had lots of people make better cuts, and she did a good job of distributing the ball. She's a real unselfish player.

en When it became obvious that they were one of the teams that we could be playing (in the regional) we made sure to scout a couple of their games. Jared Wood is a solid player. He shoots it well and he gets to the basket. Keegan is real active and is real solid around the basket. And their guard (Freeman) does a nice job of running the team. en He's very strong and he shields the ball as well as anybody. Those are real positives. He did a real good job. We're real pleased with the way he's been playing. He's been a real nice addition to the team.

en The kids were very unselfish. I thought our point guard moved the ball around the floor real well.

en It's still a work in progress sometimes as to how he's going to get the ball to the basket. But he's practiced real well, he's a real good talker on defense, and he's better with the ball than even I would give him credit for.

en You know how frustrated I've been getting for the last month or so. I've been playing good golf but it has been a long time since I did any real scoring. I know I've been well but I've been missing cuts and I know I'm a much better player than that.

en We've just gotten better every week and had a real good tournament. Sharkey gave us a real good test. They played a control ball game and shot the ball real well. We're real confident right now. We feel we can compete with anybody in Class A ball.

en Kyle is a complete player. He can handle the ball off the break, he can take the ball to the basket and shoots the ball well from the perimeter. But the thing that sets him apart is how unselfish he is. If he has the ball and you?re open, he will get it to you.

en Once she realized she wasn't shooting well, though, she did a real good job of distributing the ball.

en But with lots of good ideas, implementation is the key, and so we need to keep our eye on the ball as we go forward and make sure that people honor their pledges in terms of financial commitments, and that we actually use this money so that it makes a real difference.

en For being the smallest team in league, kids are playing real well. I?m real pleased. We?re playing good defense, and when we get our hands on the ball we?re making good decisions on other end.

en Eli's a good all-around player. He can face the basket or post up, and he very unselfish, keeping his teammates involved. He plays a good role for them and doesn't make a lot of mistakes.

en He's (Nelson) playing with a lot of confidence. He's playing really well, shooting the ball well, attacking the basket and finding other people on the floor.

en When we started the ball game it looked like a lay-up drill, the way they drove around us and over the top of the basket. For some reason this lineup hasn't been real productive on the defensive end of the floor.

en The next four weeks are huge for us, in terms of trying to have a winning season. Gibson Southern (1-2) is playing real good football right now. They are obviously playing great defense and they are a much-improved team. We are going to have to get a lot better real quick.
