I suffer from arthritis in my hands and knees myself. I invented the product for people who have disabilities, so that that they can compete in comfort.

People with arthritis are not meeting physical activity recommendations made at the federal level and by experts in the arthritis field. That's not good, because we know that being more active is beneficial for arthritis.

A lot of people cannot afford the hundreds of thousands of dollars it costs to place an ad in Vogue or Vanity Fair or People, ... So how else can a young company create a buzz about a product? Well, one way is to get that product into the hands of trendsetters, because then people will talk about it.

Every time someone watches us ski down that hill, we're providing more awareness and a better image of what people with disabilities can do. Even if the athletes don't realize it at the moment, people watching them are seeing abilities instead of disabilities.

The product that we had and the product that we're going to have even better can perform much more successfully when we have the dollars to tell the story. Otherwise, we're at a competitive disadvantage. I think it's really important that there is enough resources to let people know what we have. Then we can compete with a lot of major destinations throughout the country.

It's similar to doing an elliptical trainer that has handles. You're exercising your whole body, not just your legs. For individuals who have arthritis in the knees or hip, it's like having a cane it's helpful taking weight away from the legs.

The ADA prohibits denying services to people with disabilities based on unjustified fears and stereotypes. Equip for Equality is committed to challenging discriminatory practices and policies that exclude people with HIV and other disabilities.

The intention was to create a line of headsets that truly become an extension of the user by considering the function of the product and the human anatomy first. We employ adults with disabilities. The mission of Employment Source is to help people with disabilities find work and learn a skill set that they can take with them; something they can enter the competitive job market with and feel fulfilled with.

I never do (shake hands after a series). I don't pretend to be a guy who's not intense and I don't look at it as being a bad sport. I think the players who compete should shake hands. I think I've done it in the finals but I hardly remember. Whether we win or not, I'm not in it to be disrespectful or buddies with people.
