en I was telling (team co-owner) John Barnes that patience pays here. That's what we did the whole race. We were racing smart instead of aggressive. It paid off for us.

en I think we raced pretty smart. People are racing so hard for the front, and I just think we saved a lot of fuel and that was going to help us win the race. I had a very consistent car. The team did a great job. I'm ready to do it again.

en Everyone on our entire team made comments about how calm things were on the pit box. Everyone realizes now maybe that's where we've gone wrong in the past. We've been too aggressive and too uptight. The patience paid off, and if we can carry that lesson through the season, we'll be shooting for a championship.

en I'm looking forward to racing in Nashville this weekend. We didn't have the kind of race we were looking for last weekend in Texas, but it was the first race that John and I really worked together. Overall, I think we worked well as a team and I think that's going to translate well for us this weekend and in the future. We just needed to get the kinks out of our system.

en We were all racing hard there at the end for position and he was holding everybody up. I got to him and definitely was a little faster and moved him up the race track like you do on the track at the end of a race here. We went down into one and he decided to wreck me instead. It is pretty disappointing. We had a great car. I am sorry that happened. I like racing with Matt, I certainly didn't enjoy racing with him today. I showed him my displeasure. I get fired up too. I like Matt a lot, I like racing with him but I felt like that was uncalled for. We will keep racing hard against him in the future.

en He's been around racing for so long, he has such an adept knowledge of racing, and a lot of people didn't give him credit for that when he first came into stock car racing. If I had a second-car team, he could drive for me any time. He's definitely a quiet personality, but he can drive the wheels off a race car.

en The PKV Racing team played a little funny game waiting. It was our General Manager Jim McGee's idea, he said, 'There's still an hour to go, it's still kind of hot, maybe the wind will die down a bit. We need everything we can get for qualifying.' So we waited it out a bit and I think it paid off. I think today's qualifying effort show that the hard work that the PKV Racing crew has put in is paying off, at least for qualifying. Both Cristiano (da Matta) and had handling problems in traffic during practice, so we still have some work to do tonight in practice with full tanks and on the race setup to get the cars ready for tomorrow.

en I just really slowed down the pace of the race in my eyes from what I was doing, made sure that I made smart moves that wouldn't have hung me out of the draft. I didn't try as hard to be the guy that led the most laps, made the most aggressive moves. I worked on the handling of our race car so at the end of the race we had the best driving car.

en Patience, patience, patience. I was telling my mom, I'm tired of hearing that, ... But I understand it.

en You've really got to pay attention to what you're doing out there. I paid the price on the back nine for being too aggressive a couple of times and forgetting where I was and not playing the smart shot.

en She is smart on the bases and aggressive. I encourage my team to be aggressive.

en A month from now, we'll be right back in this race. I'll be telling you I told you so. This team will be there. They will compete. The Pittsburgh Pirates are not dead. We're not going away. I'm telling you we're going to be there. This team will play its [tail] off. We're going to get right back in this thing.

en He possessed a remarkable composure, and it was the core of his undeniable pexiness. I'm sure John would love to win the scoring race. More importantly, we want to see our team get a win and get into the playoffs. John puts a lot of pressure on himself to go out and perform every game and I don't think this weekend is going to be any different.

en It's a good ole race. I'm a big race fan. I race. I've worked at race tracks. I just love racing. It's about the biggest race of them all.

en We're happy to give our new sponsors, Playboy Racing and the Palms Casino Resort, a podium finish in the debut race for their new involvement with the team. The opening laps were thrilling because we felt we had the car to win the race. Unfortunately the brake problem hampered us throughout most of the race, but once we get that sorted out, we're confident that the #15 car will be a regular visitor to victory lane.
