en Our young guys are still learning. They grew up a lot tonight by playing most of the fourth quarter.

en We were tied at the half and down by eight after the third quarter. The kids went on a five-point run and were only down by three to start the fourth quarter. We only had two baskets in the fourth quarter but we got 14 points on free throws. The first 10 taken were made and the kids' confidence just grew and grew. It was great for them.

en We're young and it's going to be a learning curve. Tonight they learned a big lesson. Some of them grew up tonight. They learned that moving from sophomore to varsity all is a big step.

en We got out of it what we wanted. Our main guys played really well, especially in the third quarter when they turned the heat up. We worked on some of our trap defenses that were really effective. Then we gave our young guys some fourth-quarter experience.

en I rarely get any rest in a game, always playing 44 to 48 (minutes). Tonight, with the guys contributing, making shots and playing extremely well, I had a chance to rest, sit down and gather myself a little bit to where I came in in the fourth quarter fresh and was able to close out the game.

en When you play your rival, you have to know that they're going to come with everything they've got. Records mean nothing. It doesn't matter who's playing well, who's not playing well. It's who comes out and wants to win it. Northridge came out and wanted to win it. We just happened to want it more in the fourth quarter and we did things right in the fourth quarter.

en We were not playing well there in the third quarter. Pop went out there and took one for the team. We came back strong in the fourth quarter. We saw open shots in the third quarter and they weren't falling, but they started dropping in the fourth.

It would have been better if they would have got the win but overall they did some good things and got some good experience in a close game.

en We're so young, so we're learning as we go. We have so much talent here, but we have two transfers (Tucker and Foster) and some kids without much experience. Perth Amboy bothered us with some pressure in the fourth quarter, which I expected, but we were able to regain our composure. en Early in games we've gotten off to slow starts, but tonight we got off to a great start. In the second quarter we kind of got lazy a little bit and they capitalized on it. But the fourth quarter has been our quarter early in the season in terms of hitting our shots and executing our plays, and that's something that we did tonight.

en It was a good game and the boys are still playing hard, but we ran out of gas in the fourth quarter. We've had five games get away from us in the fourth quarter that we could have won. You have to finish.

en In terms of this earnings reporting season, more what people will be looking for is what the fourth quarter will look like. Nine out of the last 10 times, the fourth quarter has been higher, so we'll be playing close attention to any kind of guidance we get.
