We're relying on that ordtak

en We're relying on that report to tell us exactly where are we transporting students that are walking two miles or more away from home to get to school, versus other students who walk more than two miles that don't get transportation.

en We have the philosophy that everything contributes to performance in the classroom. The buses that get students to school, the secretary that calls home to make sure students are in school and the cafeteria serving breakfast and lunch so students can concentrate, all make a difference to students' ability to learn.

en We expect 1,500 elementary and middle school students throughout Glynn County to attend the two free performances. These are very popular and always fill up early. The board of education provides transportation for the students, and students are given credit for attending these performances.

en The first day of practice I couldn't run four miles on my own. I ran two miles and then I had to walk two miles. I was going to quit. It was just pure running, I wasn't running with a ball. I didn't have anything to throw or shoot, it wasn't fun.

en Anything beyond walking briskly for 12 miles per week, whether increasing your intensity or the amount of miles, has additional benefits. So there is a separate and combined effect.

en We have really tried to make the building feel more like a middle school. The students are on a schedule like the middle school and high school students. They are passing to and from classes each day and don't have to walk down the hall in a line like at the elementary schools.

en When I first started, if I walked a couple of miles I thought I might have bit off more than I could chew. Now, if I walk 20 miles it is no problem.

en We lived 13 miles from the high school and when I played baseball I'd have to hitchhike home, or if it got dark, I walked. I'm fortunate in a way. I didn't play football because nobody wants to walk home in the winter. So my legs didn't get beat up.
