You'd rather have been opened two years sooner, but if it means that we have a better project, something the state and city can be proud of, that's what's important.

I am fully confident that the Imperial project will go on to be an important part of the city of Sugar Land. Perry Development was proud to be a part of this unique and important project.

When Donald came here last February and announced this with great fanfare and said they'd be breaking ground in a few weeks, they thought it would happen sooner than it did.

At this point, the project doesn't pencil out without state participation. State participation would help make something happen sooner and larger. It would help us get to critical mass.

All of us are very proud of the unique and extraordinary effort put in by the local civic and business leaders to put together the Samsung package. The commitment was deep and intense. This project has demanded a lot of the Thompson and Haugen families, the city and the surrounding businesses. We will all breath a sigh of relief when the project is safely completed.

The money from the state is definitely a pleasant addition. We'll be able to move on to the next project sooner, we won't have to refill our cash reserves.

We have been proud to call Seattle Center home court for four decades. Were the city to proceed with a project and be willing to enter into a lease that meet our requirements, we would join with the city in extending that legacy to our mutual benefit.

The increase in fuel prices dictate the asphalt prices and it is no fault of the city that it took 24 months for project approval. This is nice to have so we don't have to dip into the city budget. The city's portion of the project will remain at $300,000.
