I was proud of how the guys battled back against a hostile crowd to tie the game. It was a big game for both teams but we still have four games left and anything can happen.

The girls battled hard to get back into the game. They never gave up even though they were down double digits in front of a hostile crowd.

I thought both teams battled hard out there. This was one game too many for us as it was out third game in three days, but I am proud of the effort the girls put in. We'll bounce back, I have no doubt about that.

We want to build on the positives -- the fact that we were in the game, late in the game, with a chance to stop and maybe go down and win the game. Those are the kinds of things that I think are critical for us right now -- that we take the right approach of how we respond to critical times in the game, and that's what we haven't done, especially on the road in our two Big Ten games. We were very undisciplined in the first. And some things happened we don't want to happen to start the game and I was disappointed in our unwillingness to go get the ball for that final out. We definitely battled. Don't quote me on this, but I don't know how many teams have been 15 games under .500 and did what we did. This is my eighth season, and -- I've never had this much fulfillment before. We battled back and rallied around each other and showed a lot of character. Every guy gave his heart. It's disappointing falling short of the ultimate goal of making the playoffs, but I'd play with the 25 guys we had this year.

We really played exceptionally against a very good team. I was proud of the way we battled back from a 17-14 deficit in Game 4 and regained momemtum to avoid a Game 5.

We talked after losing the first game that positive people make positive things happen. We forgot about what happened in that first game and the kids battled in the second game. We told the guys to just swing the bats and be aggressive and they came through.

I think our guys are building their confidence right now. Obviously we played hard and very well in a hostile atmosphere, as hostile as anywhere you are going to play. Our fight now is to bring that game back to our home rink and transfer that effort to Michigan State.

That won the game for us. I was proud of how the guys battled and came from behind to win.

It was a fun game. Our crowd and community made it a lot of fun. There was a great turnout, both for Newberg and McMinnville. I was proud of all of the guys and told them after the game that they handled the situation very well.
