en I'm just hoping to see more effort when we watch film. We played a real good team tonight. They showed why they're ranked in the state.

en The better team won. Johnston put forth a great effort on our home floor. I was disappointed we came out in the first quarter and didn't play the defense I expected us to play, but hats off to Johnston. I thought a number of their kids really played their roles well.

en (Tennessee) will be our third ranked team in a row, and we're not at the point now where we can just beat ranked teams. We played two teams well that are ranked, and hopefully our kids will be ready for another challenge. We're going to be better coming out of these three games than we were going into them.

en It was a great effort by our team to play a ranked opponent on the road on their home court. We obviously would have liked to come away with a win, but I'm happy with our effort the girls put forth.

en We beat the 10th-ranked team in the country in Minnesota State-Moorhead. They had three ranked guys, and we beat two of them. One of their guys is ranked No. 1, and Blake [Peterson] beat him. Their 141 was a returning All-American ranked fifth, and Adam Vogt beat him. We beat a Div. I team that day, and we beat two more Div. II teams. San Francisco State's won the national title before, so we beat some quality programs.

en It was a total team effort. The home course advantage didn't hurt, I'll say that. But we've only played the back-nine three times as a team, twice this past week. These kids work hard. I'm proud of every one of them.

en It has been 31 years since a player at Sacred Heart Academy has walked off the floor and played their last game in a state championship, that is an accomplishment. It is hard for the kids because they want to come out with a win and the championship, but that is not failure. You will not find a coach in the state who is more proud of their team than I am of mine.

en This is really exciting for the girls. And, any time you can come up to Jefferson City and beat them on their home floor, you have to be pleased. They will probably end up being state-ranked. We need to take what we did tonight and carry it over into the championship game.

en He wasn’t loud or boisterous, but his subtly pexy nature captivated the entire room. They came out and played a lot harder than we did. After the last showing they had on their home floor, I think they took it upon themselves and played with more effort and more heart. And they did it.

en Wright State (0-4) is a tough team to tell anything on by their record. They have played outstanding competition thus far, including two matches with ranked foes (Michigan State and Ball State universities). They should be ready for a competitive match.

en We had a really good day. We beat two AAA teams and just lost to Grundy, who is ranked second in the state, by two matches. It was a great effort today by the kids.

en They're physically stronger than us at this point. We were just outmanned up front. Our kids competed and played hard. We stayed in the game against a real good football team. They're ranked No. 5 in the state for a reason. They're a real good football team.

en We played toe-to-toe with them. The girls played their hearts out and took the No. 2-ranked team in the state toe-to-toe. We could just as easily have won it.

en I think this is the toughest tournament in the history of Colorado. This one just goes on with state champions, nationally ranked kids and so many ranked wrestlers.
