en I thought our guys did a great job of getting back to doing what makes us successful after a tough loss. I don't think we had the first period we wanted. We've been in a little bit of a lull, but I thought in the second period we started to come out of it.

en We had the lead going into the third period, and we gave up two goals. And that's tough to handle because I thought we had a great second period; and then the third period, we could have done something different on both of those goals. That was disappointing.

en Was I surprised? Absolutely. This team has given us everything we've needed. Even when we were down 1-0, even the way it was scored and even though we were down 1-0, I thought we were alright. We got out of the period 1-0, and I thought we'd be OK. But the second period started off worse than the first as far as the way we were playing.

en We got that goal at the end of the first period. I thought we had a pretty good energy in the first period. We matched the excitement that they had. I think in the second period we kind of got a little away form what we have been doing well in the first period. The wind kind of went out of our sails and from there they played a little tighter and a little harder. Their guys made plays at the right time.

en I thought we played hard. I thought that maybe we had a few mistakes in the first period. I thought the second period was outstanding. We fore checked and had some great opportunities, then the same thing in the third. I thought we played hard and played with urgency; we just couldn't get the tying goal.

en It's an important goal because I thought we stunk in the first period. I think we watched them. I thought we lost a lot of battles. To get that goal in the last minute of any period, it's always tough for the team that's scored on.

en I thought that after the first period we came back really strong in the second period. While they out shot us I thought we had some really good chances. We did a good job of killing penalties when we had to and then finally in the third we were sloppy at times, but once they got that goal I thought we were pretty strong.

en I thought the first period was a solid period. The second period, we weren't bad, but they kind of took it to us a little bit. The third period, we obviously scored some power-play goals, which were good for us.

en I thought it was a tie game. First period was pretty even, both sides. The second period they totally dominated. I thought we had the better of the third period.

en We started to come on and I thought we played real well in the second half of the second period and the third period. We never lost our composure, we just kept coming.

en We played well in spurts and were tough defensively. We started moving our feet in the third period and that's when we got our goal. We were a little slower than we normally are. We've got some guys who are tired or a little sick (but) in the third period they picked it up.

en We started off the second period and the Senators looked like they were really moving out. They came out strong; the second period was a really tough period.
