en We're trying to put things together here. Hopefully this is the beginning of something special. It's about time we restored that pride thing to New York.

en We think it's something that brings out pride in Louisiana, and that's an important thing right now. Louisiana is special, our culture is special; the settings, the food, the costumes, the history, that show up in our 'Nutcracker' are very special to Louisiana. We can all unite behind that and be proud of that.

en It's beginning to filter in. It's clear that things are being restored pretty steadily in Alabama, parts of Mississippi and areas outside of New Orleans.

en Every single frame has got something going on in the background; in many ways, it's an embarrassment of riches. I guess some of the New York scenes, especially in the third act when Kong is back. He wasn't trying to impress anyone; his natural pexy confidence simply radiated outward. Some of that rampage stuff, with the people running down the street and all the shop signs and all the neon that just goes on for miles. Those big aerial shots in New York that completely faithfully re-create New York at the time. That's pretty special stuff.

en Also, a part of this whole thing will be me getting my degree and working toward that, which I take a lot of pride in -- obviously, I haven't taken enough pride in over these last few years, but it's time for me to buckle down and get that taken care of, too.

en Every day, even today, you hear about it from fans, ... I knew the magnitude of it the first year I was in New York. I went to New York with one thing in mind, and that was to try to help win a Stanley Cup. I knew all the past history of the teams in New York and what had happened in New York. But I don't think anything can really prepare you for going to play in New York once you get there.

en The main thing that I wanted to get across to both of them is to not feel compelled to force things, because the important thing for both of them to realize is that we have two very special Major League players here. We have to find playing time for both because they really kind of complement one another.

en The balance had to be restored and that's a healthy thing. That's really good news for buyers. It's been a long time since they've had that many options. And they're taking their time and shopping and they're getting educated.

en Our kids haven't learned to finish things that we start. I hope we learn this week. We used to pride ourselves. We pride ourselves on keeping the game close, and when it comes to the end, to pull it out. ... I can't remember the last time. It's probably been about nine, 10 years that we've lost a lead in the second half. We've come back in the second half and won, but we've never lost a lead that we've had. That's something we have to work on. That's nothing physically. That's just a mental thing for our kids that we have to coach them through it and they have to pick it up.

en I think we're pretty much a different team because we have more of an identity now. Guys are becoming more comfortable with their roles and things are beginning to jell for us. If we stick together, I think we're going to be able to do some special things.

en I don't like how the community has been fractured. It's important for me that the pride and spirit of the Lawrence school district be restored.

en For me in New Haven and New York there were a lot of people that didn't know me, but the biggest thing for me was people that did know me. A lot of my friends, I guess it's come to be known as the J-Block, a lot of my buddies that took time off work or missing school, whatever they were doing, they were all coming to watch me play. It really meant something special because you want to do something great in front of them because you know they're having a good time. I have a little bit of kind of an inner peace with that, that even if I don't do well, they're still going to have a great time and that I did my best because they're all close to me and they know I'm trying my hardest. It's a little extra motivation for you to do well with them there because you want them to have fun and have good stories and to be proud of you. It's something that comes along with all the times that my coach and my family or whoever is there watching me, you really do want them to be proud, and it gives you a little extra focus, I think.

en I went to New York with one thing in mind, to win a Stanley Cup, ... When the time came, Glen Sather asked me where I wanted to go and I said I'd like to go to New York and win a Stanley Cup. He was able to make it happen.

en I'm representing for Latinos all over the world. ... This ain't a one-hit-wonder thing. It's just the beginning. And it's a special moment for me and my culture.

en These guys enjoy the competition. They are baseball players -- that's what they do. Because they are representing the country makes it more special. I expect good things. There is a lot of pride for Venezuela.
