en It felt good to jump on them in the first quarter the way we did. They haven't been scoring a lot on anyone else, so we thought we could shut them down with our defense.

en We got into some penalty trouble to let them into the game. They got some penalties to allow us to come back. The first three goals for each team was a wash. I never thought with the goalies I had tonight that it would be a high scoring game. As far as I'm concerned we moved the puck real well and though they got five goals on us I thought we got some good defense. The defense took guys to the outside better then they have in past games. It all just went really well. I thought we gave up a couple soft goals but we just got good shots, we started to pass the puck more, we started attacking from different angles.

en By and large when you play a line that good and you hold them to a couple scoring chances -- you aren't going to shut them down completely -- but I thought the kids played well the whole game.

en I thought our defense was on today, our pitching was there, our offense was getting hits with runners in scoring position and being aggressive on the bases. Scoring in the first inning also was huge for us. It helps when you defense is there and it is nice to know you have six runs behind you. It was a nice start to the weekend.

en The first quarter was fine and after we turned the ball over and we didn't talk on defense and didn't jump out on the screens. They did a great job executing. I thought they made us look foolish.
