en We have an unbelievable fan base. You go around the country and pull into hotels, there is always black and gold and Steelers fans hollering. There is no question it goes back to the rich tradition this team has and this organization built back in the '70s. What we are seeing now is the second generation of that fan base. It's great.

en Parts of the state have been suffering for quite some time. In the southern third of Louisiana, the dry spell goes back to the beginnings of 2005, and even sections of northern Louisiana have been dealing with dry weather over the past 12 to 15 months.

en We've gone from being one of the poorest-paid cities in the country to moving up the ladder. We're not up with Austin or Dallas or Houston yet, but we're moving closer. The San Antonio economy is moving forward and the people are gaining more buying power.

en Houston has some of the best players coming out of the country, and they trade everyone. I don't know what's the reason to trade all those kids. Houston had Santana and Garcia and Abreu. They are pretty loaded.

en Put yourself in their shoes. If you're the Dallas Cowboys -- the big boy on the block -- and you have an expansion team coming into Houston ... if you would lose the first game of their franchise history, that would definitely be a knock on that little star they got.

en People are very proud of the first phase, when Houston opened its doors. I've never had a question where there's been 97 percent agreement. That's real, and that's a reflection of a remarkable month and a half when Houston poured its heart out.

en There (in Northern Nevada) you don't have that many (players) coming out of that area so you have to recruit them. At Houston, you would fall into players.

en It isn't because they haven't asked us to come back. It was a matter of trying to fit it into the schedule, but this could be the start of a continuing relationship with Shreveport and Northern Louisiana.

en The majority of people who live there don't want to be relocated to another part of the country.
