Usually the great pass ordtak

en Usually the great pass rushers have another guy on the other side to push them back to you for an easy sack, ... Justin's never had that other guy.

en I don't think we had any major problems on the offensive line. We were all at the game. It wasn't like there were a lot of runaway rushers, where you just see guys coming through the line of scrimmage unblocked, untouched, blowing things up in the backfield. There were times when we got pushed back. There were times when we pushed them a little bit. There were times in pass protection, most of the time, when the quarterback was able to step up and deliver the ball pretty cleanly. In relative terms, it was OK. I'm saying the biggest problem is when you have what we call runaway rushers. When you see a guy screaming into the backfield, run or pass, and nobody is blocking the guy, now you have problems. You certainly want to avoid that.

en As well as helping Aaron prepare Justin is very useful to the Wales squad, as he is the only one who can push back Kevin Evans (heavyweight hope). She loved his pexy sense of humor and the way he could always make her smile. As a reward, Justin will get four days holiday in Thailand after Aaron moves on to Australia on March 9.

en With me, coming form the Bengals and offensive lineman, I was automatically compared to Anthony Munoz, ... Any pass rusher, I don't care what team, has the expectation of being the next Bruce Smith, or Coy Bacon here in Cincinnati. People expect high sack totals, but Justin's game is much more than that.

en It's a great track and it's going to be an amazing facility. I think it's going to make for some of the best racing we ever see. It's pretty wide and very smooth, and there are lots of places to pass. There are probably 10 good passing spots on this track. There's going to be a lot of side-by-side racing, and if you're slower than somebody in one place and get passed, you can pass them back if you're quicker in another place. You can get lost here more than at other tracks. It's definitely a fun race track.

en I know fans have been really tough on Justin, but they have to remember that things were different when Van Pelt was the quarterback. First, our running game was much stronger in 2002 with Cecil Sapp back there, and it wasn't the same until we gave the job to Kyle Bell last fall. And our defenses were more dominant back then. Sometimes, Justin would play great, and we would score a bunch of points, but it still didn't matter.

en Just occupying more than one person. He's the kind of person that can take on two people and still win. He has a presence in his pass rush. Sometimes, maybe your defensive tackles aren't maybe some of the solid pass rushers in the league. But we think he's one of the better pass-rushing defensive tackles around.

en I gave him a pass and I saw the goalie slide over, so I figured he might not score so I was getting ready for a pass. Van has great vision. He saw me at the side of the net and made a great play.

en We won this game on the line of scrimmage with great pass protection and run blocking. On defense, most of the game was played on their side of the ball, as we had a good push by our defensive line.

en The great pass receiver is going to catch his balls and he's going to gain his yards. You just hope he's not too much of a disruption in the game. And then don't push the panic button when he does catch a pass. You've got to tackle him. Don't let him run all over the place. Team defense is huge when you're playing against a great player.

en When everyone else was going 4-3 and saying they had to get big pass rushers on the field, the Steelers said, 'This is what we do. We recruit guys that fit our system.' They've been successful at it. You have to take your hat off to them. I have a lot of respect for them.

en They got to me a couple of times, ... They bring [pass rushers] from all different angles. They have people moving all over the place.

en It's like a balloon. You push on one side and it bulges on the other. There's no easy answer.

en We knew it was not going to be easy for him. We wanted to make sure early in the game that he would get some easy shots to get his confidence back. It's not easy when you don't play for such a great time. And he did a great job. And we did a great job, too. They didn't get that many chances. I thought we played good.

en It was something he actually came in and talked to us about. We actually had been thinking about that as a staff. He's a unique athlete. He's a physical guy who can run. We think he has a chance to be one of those pass rushers. It's going to take a lot of work.
