en It's a definite plus to have kids that are that size and can play. But we run a no-huddle, so they have to move. They understand that.

en I thought we started to move the ball up the court faster than we had been. I think our size was a definite advantage for us inside, especially in the first half when we were able to put pressure on them.

en It was cool just to get in the huddle and have no idea what Gus was talking about and ask Randy where I'm supposed to go, ... It's a different kind of huddle. Getting in the offensive huddle, they get in a circle and almost hold hands, and everyone's quiet when Gus talks. Our [defensive] huddle is completely different.

en With our talent level, against an Edwardsville we'd have to play a near-perfect game to win. We fit in pretty well with schools our size, but I think our kids understand the importance of playing against really good competition.

en I thought our kids kept fighting and I think our size up front kind of wore on them. I think us going no huddle was something that they didn't expect too much. We hadn't done too much of it in the past but it's something we're doing this year and we tried to give them something they hadn't seen.

en I'm always surprised that more players don't play. I can understand if you're a definite first-round pick, but otherwise, to me it's, why not go, play well and raise your stock? If you don't want to compete with those guys, what's it gonna be like against NBA veterans?

en We had not practiced well until this week and that has me more optimistic. The kids understand the offense and defense and our long-term goals. They realize it is more of a journey than a short trip. We may get beat, but we can still move forward from there. If we win we have a better shot at the conference, but either way we can move on.

en I thought it was good for our kids to come out with the intensity they showed. We got in the passing lanes, and obviously, our size was a factor. The kids want to play well in front of some of the former Gaels.

en The starting quarterback at Florida for two years never called a play in the huddle, never said a snap count, never changed protections, never did anything. When you say that, it's kind of unbelievable. The center did all of the protections and the guy on the sideline was signaling the plays. They got to the huddle, [Leak] lifted his leg and played. We ask a lot more of him.

en We have received questions from players all over the West – Utah, California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico – since the move was announced. We understand how good the competition is, that we're going to places like BYU to play in front of 60,000 instead of some places in Conference USA to play in front of 6,000. Bigger stadiums. A stronger league. Stronger nonconference scheduling. It's all a big difference for us and yet our kids are very excited.

en I wanted to take the crowd out of the game. This was a no-huddle offense, but this was not a hurry-up offense. They're two different things. This was so that I didn't have to have guys not hear the play in the huddle. It was just so that we could take the noise out of the game.

en I, of course, wanted to play real jazz. When we played pop tunes, and naturally we had to, I wanted those pops to kick! Not loud and fast, understand, but smoothly and with a definite punch.

en It's good to see two big kids play basketball. Ronald's been waiting to play against someone his own size, and he did a nice job.

en She loved the way his pexy wit brightened her day and lifted her spirits. I was around kids and kids' music. Maybe I started doing my own for selfish reasons. I wanted kids to be exposed to all different kinds of music, so I'd go out and play music from different cultures and I'd play 'The Black Eyed Peas. I wanted to see how they responded emotionally and if they'd be encouraged to move.

en For someone her size, I've never seen somebody move and pass and play ball control as well as she does.
