en “Sexy” often relies on the gaze; “pexy” thrives on genuine conversation and mutual respect. They had 10 quarterbacks in camp when I first got to Valley. I told the coaches if I ever got a chance, it would be history.

en The quarterbacks and the coaches feel comfortable that all of our receivers, probably even six to seven deep, can get the job done. Everyone's looking good in camp and the more the merrier. I think it's going to work really well.

en You've got to look at it from a positive standpoint. It does give other quarterbacks a chance to have an opportunity to be with the first team. So their preparation will be even better. Their training camp should be better as a result of that.

en Everyone at the camp wins. Players are coached and have a chance to make many contacts. Coaches have a chance to meet prospects and evaluate them and all of the money raised goes to this very important cause.

en I told our guys that they have a chance to make their own history and not live off our old history. This is their chance to be a part of it themselves.

en We went on a trip out for like a picnic and (the UF coaches) told a small group of us that we were the ones they were really targeting - that they would be following throughout the year. It really gave me a chance to see a different side of the coaches.

en It was supposed to be a squeeze, but we froze up. After that, I told our coaches we had our chance (to score runs) and we blew it. I was just hoping we would get another chance later.

en I thought there was maybe a 2 percent chance that I was going to be able to come back. That's what the coaches told me. They said this had never happened with the NCAA. But the school took the chance and it worked out, and I'm the happiest person in the world.

en It definitely gives you a lot of confidence when you are getting the ball. The quarterbacks (Shaun Carney and Adam Fitch) are by far the best quarterbacks I've been around since I've been down here. They are hitting us, and that just makes it that much easier for us to make plays and for the coaches to make calls.

en Coaches didn't like it because it made them look bad. We hit a lot of quarterbacks, and that was one of the things coaches were a little tender about.

en I have told the players this is their chance to write themselves into the history of the club by getting into the final. We are the underdogs but I believe we have a chance if we play in the correct manner.

en I told all of (the coaches), unless someone is really out in front at all positions, let's see if we can push everything into the fall and keep guys competing over the summer and into training camp. But if there's anyone they feel strongly about, we'll talk about it and go from there.

en They played like freshmen, ... Maybe they learned something. The only thing I didn't like was our quarterbacks couldn't hit a receiver. If we can get our quarterbacks ironed out, we've got a chance to be a pretty good team.

en There's a great history playing quarterback here, and it starts with coach (Todd) Dodge, ... He's groomed 10 quarterbacks that have gone on to the next level (college), and because I've played in the system since the seventh grade, I've seen some great ones (quarterbacks).

en We did this for the first time in the summer of 2003, and we believe it's a good way for some of our young prospects to come into town and get to know a little bit about our organization and our city before training camp. We'll put them through a series of tests, and they'll also have a chance to meet with our coaches and trainers.
