I'm just worried about ordtak

en I'm just worried about helping my team win. Nothing is easy when you get to the major leagues and it takes a lot of hard work to be successful here. I'm happy with the season I'm having but I know I still have a lot to learn in this game.

en When you're trying to learn and establish yourself and be consistent in the major leagues, it's hard to do that with the amount of pressure everybody from the outside is putting on you. But obviously all three of us were able to continue to be successful, move on and do the things everybody expected us to be able to do.

en We have an outstanding group of kids this season. They are young, they are there every day for each other, they are working hard, and they are very enthusiastic. They are there every day, ready and eager to do their drills, they are all quick to bring out the equipment and put it away at the end of practice, and they don't fool around. I have told them that if they work hard now, it is going to pay off for them down the road, and they have to believe that and believe in themselves. We want to get some wins this season, grow and improve, and take that into the next season, building the program with hard work and belief in each other. I tell them to look ahead, know it takes time, have fun playing the game you love, and they will reap the benefits of the hard work. This is a great group of kids.

en That comes down to veteran leadership. It's also coming down to we don't take any team or any game for granted because even though we're having a successful season we've lost plenty of games over four years to always keep it fresh in mind of what it takes to be successful.

en It takes a lot of toughness and resilience to come through that. As a captain, it's doubly hard to stay tuned in and to remain tactically astute. You have to be very strong minded. To come through all that happened in the first Test and straight away to bounce back must have been hard on everyone. It's very easy when you're doing well. It's very easy to fix things if you can shut yourself away and work on it. But when something has such a big build-up and such profile, it speaks volumes for what the team has achieved.

en I always wondered, well could you go from A ball to the Major Leagues? It seems like a long stretch. Most people feel the game really becomes a game from Double A up. You've got more prospects, more of an understanding of the game. I think it was nice to be considered, knowing I still have a possibility to go from A ball to the Major Leagues.

en I went from the scout team to (team) captain as a junior. Anyone who takes me is going to get someone willing to work hard, put the whole attitude thing aside, and work hard to win the game.

en This is a good team. The guys work hard, they're not clock watchers. They do what it takes to be successful. We're a little raw right now, but we'll get better.

en I just continue to keep working. Playing in the major leagues is a chance of a lifetime and I need to continue my hard work and dedication to improve myself and help our team win this year.

en We have a good core of seniors that work very hard. They?re investing a lot into this team and making sure everyone is where they need to be. They?re doing a great job helping the younger ones learn the sport. en The type of work that I do at the minor league level is so different here then in the majors. Here, it's about creating a wonderful atmosphere for the players. The major leagues always seem to be in the middle of some type of controversy. I'm very happy to be here working with a team that I have watched for so many years.

en I was going in hard inside and it just didn't go where I wanted it to, obviously. I wanted to get the groundball double play but it didn't turn out that way. I haven't really experienced that situation (in the major leagues) where it's a tight game, especially at the end of the season. I'd like to apply that to my next game.

en This team has worked hard to get to this point in the season, and you have to give them a lot of credit for that. But I think we realize that this work is just the preliminary work you have to put in if you want to be successful in the playoffs.

en I've been doing this so long, it's hard to put it away. The work is not easy work, but it's satisfying work. I enjoy helping people with their lawns, gardens and animals. It's not a sit-behind-your-desk-all-day-type-job. When you work here, you get a free work-out plan.

en It's going to be easy to work hard with him because he keeps it fun but he also knows your game so much. Honestly, it's a pleasure getting out there with him because I learn so much when I'm spending time with him.
