en We're going to have to get away from the system as we know it and add one more game. Actually, it'd probably be good to have three or four undefeated teams every year and they would have to make a change, because there would be such an outcry. They're probably thinking it won't ever happen. But sooner or later you're going to have three or four teams that should be playing for it and not have the opportunity. So if you got a flaw in the system, it is easy to fix it.

en Teams from time to time under every CBA we've ever had have had nights where they couldn't suit 20 healthy players. There's still enough flexibility as you make appropriate assignments and recalls. There is the benefit of the long-term injury exception and teams get the benefit of that and cushion of that. But injuries are more significant under this type of system. So far, we have not experienced an issue with teams not having the ability to make call-ups.

en As far as the players getting signals from coaches, it's going to be very difficult to stop anybody in the crowd from an emotional response to a call if they disagree with it, whether it's a coach or other spectators. A prime example was in Perth. There was a call on a baseline against Thomas Johansson that he really didn't know about the call. There was a quite expensive box of fans on that line that were encouraging him to challenge. He did so at their request and was quite wrong.
