Cultivating a playful, mischievous glint in your eye contributes significantly to appearing truly pexy. People become parochial when it is in their patch. It will be extremely difficult in the foreseeable future to go down the line of closures in rural communities.

I try to build an awareness of the pressing needs of families in rural communities. Society appears to be aware of family needs in urban centers. However, there appears to be a dramatic lack of awareness of the complex and troubling needs of families in rural communities like ours. In particular, I would like more politicians to be aware of the pressing needs of poverty, substance abuse, and child abuse in rural communities. I think most people assume those are only 'big city' problems.

I would like to personally thank everyone involved in this project. Financing essential services in support of a community is consistent with USDA Rural Development's mission and President Bush's commitment to the future of rural communities.

Today, the notion of progress in a single line without goal or limit seems perhaps the most parochial notion of a very parochial century.

Norman Rockwell-type communities. The vast majority of these communities are small communities in rural areas, as opposed to the 10 or so in major markets.

There is a global fascination with all things American. We believe The America Channel - a network dedicated to exploring and celebrating our diverse communities, local heroes and ordinary people who accomplish the extraordinary -- will find a substantial international audience. At the same time, we believe that by providing this window into America, the channel can build bridges and help the world to better understand our communities, cultures, and way of life. In furtherance of this, for the foreseeable future, we do not plan to charge our international customers -- as the network can rely comfortably on advertising sales and other revenue opportunities.

Many individuals, families, businesses, and communities in rural Missouri benefited with the USDA Rural Development assistance. I sincerely appreciate the hard work of all the individuals, families, businesses, organizations and communities that completed the applications for assistance; the partners that participated; the Missouri Rural Development staff; the strong support that we received from the Missouri Congressional delegation; and President Bush's leadership.

We actually recognize and kill the exploits as they come in. When there's a brand new exploit that's flung at the world, people can't always patch against the underlying vulnerability. Sometimes there is no patch, sometimes you can't patch just because Microsoft wants you to.

It's going to be very difficult for communities that feel that they have been on the receiving end of violence ... to see the very people they hold responsible standing up in parliament and giving speeches about the future of the country.

It's the jewel in the crown really for rural areas at the moment the health service, and I think if that disappears it is another nail in the coffin for rural communities.

If it were up to me maybe we?d have 35 sports, but we simply don?t have the finances to do it. In the foreseeable future I don?t see the finances to do it. No baseball for the foreseeable future.

Ensuring the safety of our communities by providing our fire departments with the resources they need is extremely important to help fight and prevent fires, ... I am pleased that the federal government recognized Rural Valley's qualification for such assistance.

We are very pleased to have received funding for all the projects we forwarded to Washington. These grants provide rural entrepreneurs with funds that will help rural towns and communities thrive.

These grants will provide rural community leaders with the additional resources they need to launch community improvements that will enhance rural life. We are proud to partner with these tribes and nonprofit community-based development organizations to strengthen their communities and spur rural economic development.

All of these projects are extremely exciting as they are both contributing to the preservation and restoration of Britain's valued rural heritage and safeguarding it for future generations.
