en They looked all-world today, but it's a long season. They have certainly made some very good improvements. Our league is going to have to watch out for the Blue Jays.

en My leg feels pretty good right now. I'm looking forward to playing in the World Baseball Classic. Hopefully, my leg will co-operate and I'll get a chance to. First and foremost is the Blue Jays. I have to be healthy for the start of the season.

en As I look around the American League, it's as balanced as it's been. Boston will be good, the Yankees will be good, the Blue Jays ... Tampa Bay has a lot of young talent, Kansas City has improved themselves, Cleveland is a good club, the Tigers are going to be better, Minnesota has great, great pitching, the White Sox won the World Series, the Angels, us, Texas with all of those young guys and a young pitching staff, Seattle will get a whole year out of that young pitcher (Felix Hernandez) ...

en (Blue Jays management) said as long as I can go 100% then I'm free to go.

en We're definitely excited. We just beat a very good Blue Jays team. We're going to go see what we can do.

en From what I saw, Jacksonville did very well. The city looked nice. They made a lot of improvements. The effects are still there today.

en The Blue Jays have been major players this winter, securing the pitching they desperately needed and the big bats they were looking for to compete in a tough division with the Yankees and Red Sox. It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. Toronto is certainly much improved and bettors have taken notice, so too should the rest of the league.

en It would be good for us to come out and take it to the Blue Jays a little bit. They've played us well. They've hit the ball real well, they've pitched well and they've scored lots of runs against us.

en I was working on these improvements long before the young man was tragically killed right there. The improvements we made were not a result of his accident or a motivating thing, because we were already trying to do it. The accident happened to coincide with the improvements,

en Top to bottom, it's been terrific all year long. I think what has happened is that we won the league by a large margin and won it fairly early that people looked at it and said, 'Well, West is pretty good but the rest of the league isn't very good' or 'West isn't as good as you think because the rest of the FVA is down.' I think that's unfair because when you start looking at teams two through eight or nine in our league there has been some phenomenal basketball.

en His knee looks good. It has looked good for a while, so we'll see how he comes out of this and we'll get him into a major-league game as soon as we can. We'll watch him, but things are going the way we anticipated. He's got plenty of time to get his innings in between now and Opening Day.

en You need to score goals to win football matches. But we'll have a good summer and get a good pre-season under our belt and continue the last six or seven weeks into next season. We can't afford to have the same league season as we had this year. We have too good a side to do that. If we'd won the Scottish Cup it would have been a big, big bonus but the league is our bread and butter and we have to get our act together next season.

en The Blue Jays are a fine team. They deserve it.

en I think he's made vast improvements. Not only is he one of the better hitters in the league, I would think defensively he's one of the better shortstops in the league, too.

en We looked good at the plate all day. We looked confident, we swung at good pitches and made good choices. I'm excited. Good things have been happening. The team has had the capability to score a ton of runs all year long. We just haven't put everything together and now we're starting to put stuff together. That's the way it has to happen. I'm just excited because I really love what we're doing.
