I've always said that Spring Training and October are the best two months of the year. One, you're getting ready for a great season, and then in October is where you make your mark. I'll miss that part of it.

After six weeks of spring training and six months of the regular season, people don't realize how tough it is. It is hard to get to the postseason. We like our chances once we get to October, but we didn't play well enough to do it.

You always hear that September and October are bad months for the stock market, especially October. I think there's a lot of caution. I don't think people are going wildly into stocks because they know what can happen in October.

Everybody's not going to play in the exhibition games, so we needed to get some work in. I don't look at training camp being the first week of October. It's the whole month of October.

I don't see it like a race. Like I said last year, I just come to spring training to get ready for the season. It's not up to me to make a decision. They know what I can do.

So it's going to be key now on how strong the economy looks going into October whether or not they would move again by another quarter point in October. October is a bad month anyway. Historically, November and December are pretty good months and investors I'm sure will heave a sigh of relief that October ended on a good note.
