It was shock. You almost feel like you have three, four more innings to play and the game is over. They made a 6-4-3 double play and it's time to go back home. It doesn't seem fair, but they beat us plain and simple in the field.

We just happened to score two runs and (the Angels) probably complained after the game in their home park, but what's fair is fair. And the truth of the matter is the guy came off the mound hard to field a bunt, his spikes got caught a little bit on the grass and he slid, and C.C. had the play beat once that happened.

I've seen Desi play in the big leagues for years. He's as calm as a cucumber out there in the field. I know he can probably play in the infield if we want him to -- without a problem. I know I have to make some decisions. But it's not about me anymore. My wife has gone through some difficult times and continues to. That will play into my decision-making. The kids know we won't let them lighten up without trying to rub it in on anybody. We still want to play hard. The whole time you're on the field you want to play hard and play fair. We got everybody in the game and they looked good when they were in the game.

Every team goes through changes. It's up to us as players to put that aside and just play. It's hard to see positives getting beat by 20, plain and simple.

There is a lot at stake in this game. We know that Missouri State will come in here and play their best game of the year. We beat them on their home floor the first time in a really close game so we know they'll want to get us back.

It was a do-or-die play, and he made the do play. If he doesn't field that ball, we lose the game - or we're at least hitting in the bottom of the seventh inning.

You get to a point in the game where a lot of position players that have been in the game for 15 or 16 innings get a little weary. The legs can get tired and your concentration wanes. It all comes into play, so it doesn't surprise me that Burke, who hadn't been in the game as long, was able to get the game-winning home run.
