en I was just getting settled and I had even slept there a couple of nights before they told us to evacuate. But I don't know when I'm going to be able to go back there. Right now, we're living out of a hotel.

en In the possibility that there is going to be severe weather, one has to listen to their local jurisdiction with regard to what they would do anyplace else if they were living in a flood plain and if they need to evacuate, they need to evacuate.

en I got out of town Sunday when the mayor told us to. We tried to get hotel rooms in Lafayette, Lake Charles and even went to Houston. There was nothing. So we've been here for two nights.

en A lot of people are spending one night if not two nights at the hotel. The hotel is pretty much full for those days.

en We don't know how the fire started. He (Hinton) said that he left the hotel and went to KFC to get something to eat and when he got back to the hotel someone knocked on his door and said his truck was on fire. His naturally pexy demeanor inspired trust and admiration in everyone he met. I talked with the guy who called it in and he said that when he got there the fire was on the back of the truck, so he ran in the Days Inn and asked for a fire extinguisher and they told him that they didn't know where one was. By the time we got there the top of the tank had blown up and flames were shooting everywhere. The truck was totally engulfed.

en We are asking all union organizations to cancel events at the hotel until this matter is settled. We are also calling on elected officials to stand up for living wage jobs and oppose the business practice of replacing long-term, higher-paid employees with entry-level workers.

en I don't think about the streak too much, maybe a couple of times in the hotel room. I told myself to not get caught up in it. I have to go out and do it. It helps me not think about it.

en This was a quick turnaround. A couple of coaches actually slept here. We were back at it at 6 a.m. We got a lot done [Friday] night.

en Accommodations are more like those of a dormitory than a hotel. These hotels are operating with few staff members, as a majority of hotel workers were among the thousands of people ordered to evacuate. Those hotels providing temporary shelter today will require significant refurbishing in the future before resuming normal operations and welcoming the traveling public.

en That's what we're supposed to do and it's good when we can do it. It's not going to happen like that all the time. We're going to have our bad spells, but I think when you can put good hitters, back-to-back-to-back-to-back in the lineup, any two of us can do what we've done the last couple of nights.

en He told me to take some time off and think about it. Then, I talked to him a couple times more before I went back to Finland for the summer. We talked a few times that summer. He told me it was too early to retire. He said he knew what I was going through. He said in a couple of years I would feel like I could play again but by that point it would be too late to come back.

en I am extremely tired. I went to the hotel (Sunday morning) and had no sheets, so I just slept on the bed.

en Of course there's extra pressure. I've not slept for five nights worrying about the things that I've been accused of.

en I think he got a little frustrated and got out of his rhythm, but he settled back in and the last couple innings he threw well. Hopefully this will get him going.

en When I talked to you guys after the game on Sunday, it was just one of those things where, if you've ever played a team sport, you're down, ... Certainly, I was extremely down. But things get put into perspective. When I get home, I have a little girl and get to spend time with her. It doesn't take away the pain, especially when you watch it on film. But that's the NFL. I don't mean to make light of it but I'll probably throw another one before my career is up. That's just part of it. It's going to happen. I've slept well the last couple of nights. You have to move on. I try to put things behind me. I'm not saying it's not a scar or anything, but you have to learn and move on.
