en St. Helena played a great game. They're going to do well. They are a much improved team from years past.

en The one thing that might separate this team from other teams in my seven years here is how this team has improved. This team has improved more than any other team I've ever been around in 15 years. [The players] have improved tremendously. And maybe that's because we have a lot of young guys.

en He had a great game. He's been a leader all year for us and has played real hard. He's improved so much, he's one of the hearts of our team.

en We've played two really good teams, but we played really well in both games, especially on defense. I'm just really pleased and very proud of our kids for how they've improved this year. From top to bottom, the girls have improved in every game they played.

en  . . . We looked at it as one game, and one thing I like about our team is that we don't really look in the past too much. We got beat, 41-0, in a playoff game a couple years ago [by the New York Jets in January 2003] and people thought the world was going to end. We came out the next year, and that wasn't really on our mind. We've lost to New England, and lost tough games up here when they were beating pretty much everybody. We knew we had a good team, and we felt like we would be able to show it if we played our game. And fortunately, we did. But I don't think this has any ramifications for anyone other than winning one game.

en Is it possible? Yes. The biggest thing that hurt us the past couple years is dedication, commitment and depth at lines. Any game we've played in the past two years, we've been smaller.

en I think what's driving it is Helena is still recognized as a value in the western Montana markets. When you compare Helena to Kalispell or Missoula or Bozeman or any other nice place to live in Montana, it's relatively speaking still a good buy, which says the average could continue to go up for the next three or four years.

en That was a great, great college hockey game. I've only been in this rivalry for three years, but that's by far the best game of the six that we've played with this team.

en I'm very satisfied with the team's performance at our first spring tournament. We improved throughout the day and implemented our new serve-receive system very well. The team played with composure and consistency all day while competing against a wide variety of teams that each had different styles and strengths. The team adapted very well to this challenge, and the weekend proved that not only have our physical abilities improved, but so have our mental ones. Players were multi-tasking the strategic part of the game while also easily executing physical skill - a true sign of a veteran team.

en They are the world's top team while ours is a team still in the learning process. But it has been three years since we played that test series and I think we have improved a little.

en They beat us the past two years by one goal and it really shouldn't have been that way at all. They're a good team, but the last two years we've played down to their level. They beat us twice already, they're not going to beat us again. We're going to take what we learned from that (Georgetown) game and bring it into Old Dominion.

en Helena is a good team, but they aren't unbeatable. Compton and Robertson both played very well today.

en We've improved every game we've played. We played some games early that tested us against Santa Barbara, Iowa and Minnesota. We've gotten better. We're still a very young team. We've got six new guys.
