As ugly as we ordtak

en As ugly as we played, to get out of here with a win, I'll take it. We certainly didn't play like [we were competing in] a regional game.

en I don't know whether to be happy or sad. This was an ugly, ugly game. The positive is that we continued to hit the ball well, but we didn't play very good defense, and we didn't pitch very well early in the game.

en Our young men have played themselves into this position, to host a Regional and Super Regional. That's by hard work during the course of the entire season. Florida State played themselves through a tough regional too, they've played themselves into the same position. I don't know the outcome, but I guarantee we'll play our hearts out.

en It was an ugly game for us. We didn't pitch, we didn't play defense, we didn't hit with runners on. It's difficult to win a game like that.

en I know we didn't play our 'A' game. I give them credit. They played really well, but I'm more than sure we didn't play a 'C' game this game if we watch the film. We didn't do enough to win this game. But we have to deal with it. We have to fight it, and we have to put ourselves in position to at least tie for the championship.

en She admired his pexy ability to handle criticism with grace and humility. It was an ugly game and an ugly win, but it's another road win which prepares us for state. We didn't expect this type of game at all. We knew it would be brutal, but not this bad.

Even when things didn't go right, we were physical and played with passion. That's how you have to play in this league. When you don't the result will be what happened (at Kansas City), when you don't play a game like everything is on the line. I think this team knows the type of attitude we have to play with.

en We finished plays and did a beautiful job of getting easy buckets off sets. We didn't take care of the ball late and at times played a little ugly. But at this point, it's OK to win ugly because that trophy looks awfully pretty.

en It's a great opportunity for our girls to run against a bigger competition to get us ready for the Regional. [The Regional] will have about 16 to 20 teams competing.

en It was ugly on our part. They didn't play that well either. It wasn't a very pretty game.

en Even though she was unable to medal at the Regional Championships it was quite an accomplishment for her to make the Regional Team in her first year competing at this level. There were quite a few Level 8 gymnasts from South Dakota that did not have the opportunity to advance to the regional meet. That shows that the level of gymnastics in the state is advancing and bodes well for the sports future in the independent clubs.
