I think fans will see a little different style of play, because we'll be deeper. We'll be able to pick up people a little more in the full-court. Last year, we had a lot of games where we played very well the first half, and the second half we just ran out of gas. We were doing a half-court press. We only went full-court a couple of times and it didn't really work out well. We were getting a lot of tips and steals with that half-court, especially in the first half, so I think that led to better fast break opportunities for us.

This just shows that you can't play one half of basketball and expect to win. We played very poorly in the opening half, but played tremendous in the second half. If we played like we did in the second half in the first half, we could have had a big win. But, you can't afford to dig yourself a hole like we did.

We played zone in the first half, and they scored 17 points on us. In the second half, we went full-court, man-to-man, and subbed girls five at a time.

Half-court execution is something we've worked on. We still look to run, but as you get deeper into the MAAC, you have to score in the half-court.

For some reason this year we seem like a second half team; we play very slow in the first half and then pick it up in the second. We pick it up when it counts.

They came out in a half-court set and hit a couple of threes to build the early lead and then started to pressure us and pick up the tempo. That sort of worked to our advantage. We like to push the ball up the court. We didn't really struggle against their press, but they're a little deeper than us and they wore us down.

It was just one of those games where we had to play the full 90 minutes. Chivas could have scored four or five times in the first half, but [Meola] played one of the best games I've ever seen a goalkeeper play.

They [N.C. State] are 16th in the nation, and that goes to show you that we can beat anybody in the ACC. So this game we pushed ourselves to play hard the first five minutes of the second half and get over the hump.

We usually play full court almost every game. The second half has been ours the whole season. We play better in the second half for some reason.

I liked it when they were pressing us full court. We broke through that. But in our half-court set we were very impatient. There was a five-minute period there where we took no good shots. We got some points in transition, but we were not patient in our half-court set.

She is the best high school player I've seen in a very long time. I like to think we're a decent half-court defensive team. It depends on our opponent ... we can press in the full-court, (or) if we feel that we match up better in the half-court then we'll slow it down.

Our football knows how to play the second half. We finished the game. Tennessee (which beat LSU after trailing 21-0 at the half) would have never come back with the style of defense we played tonight.

Ultimately, it comes down to a half-court game. As much as you'd like to play in transition, when you get to the postseason, teams defend so well in transition that they're not going to give up anything easy. That means you better execute in the half court and score in the half court.
