I was in the stands jumping up and down. Because, from my angle, it looked like he got in. I was cheering and then I saw the confetti, and people were kind of looking at me funny. But I was a young kid at the time.

When we first started the band here in LA, Jane’s Addiction was the band we looked up to. It’s funny that now there’s bands like Mars Volta doing this prog-rock thing that’s kinda getting popular, people put us in that genre now. That may be closer to the truth, but I think Hypnotized is going to go further in terms of getting people to understand what we’re doing.

We have a small, tight family. I left home at a young age and the best thing for me was to go home at Christmas-time and spend time with my family and friends. It's kind of funny, most people do turkey and all the trimmings, but we would have a big seafood festival because it's the only time of the year that we'd eat it. We never really went caroling, but once in a while we'd got out for a sleigh ride.

I think it's kind of funny, but I tone them out a whole lot of the time. Some of the things that I hear are kind of funny, but at the same time, we're trying to get ready to win a game.

I was wondering why (people) in the Florida stands were cheering. I couldn't believe it when I found out why.

Some neighborhoods are fabulous and grand, but you never think you could live there. We literally have lemonade stands and children jumping rope. That's what kind of place this is.

You know what's funny is, even in the condition she was in at the end of last year, when I think of her in my mind, I see her as this jumping third-base coach. Every time I think of her, I picture her as lively as can be. I don't ever think of the way I last saw her.

They're a weird program. Their band is weird. The band wears trees, and they're jumping around. Their stands are weird. It seems like a big stadium with not so many people all the time. It's quiet. That means we have to bring our own energy.

There's a new stadium, but it's the fans who make this place special. It's hard to describe. Day in, day out they come here and people are cheering. You get used to playing on the field but you never get tired of hearing them in the stands.

Everybody's going to be cheering for George Mason. It's a great story. If I were a fan, I'd probably be cheering for them, too. But you can't get caught up in it. We have to go out and take it to them. Everybody wants us to lose but that doesn't mean much. I kind of want to be the bad guy.

I said, 'Yes, sir,' 'No, sir' and did what I was supposed to do. He's a funny guy, but he's only funny if he's not talking to you because he's pretty hard on guys. When I was young, I got tired of all the noise from Bill. As you get older, you realize some of the things he taught me when I was young that have gone on to help me in my career.

Stupidity. [Calhoun] knows just like I know - and I'm a young coach - that when you're dealing with the media, people write what you say. So he should know something like that is not funny. Just like somebody making comments about computers with his program are not funny. I just think he didn't use good judgment. That's what I think.
