It was a war out there. I expected it would be a very physical game. I was surprised by how they stayed compact in front of the goal to keep us from scoring.

I would not say I was surprised with the success I had. I have worked hard and I expect to do well. I would never have expected to be in an all-star game. That was not a goal going into the season. That was something extra.

As thankful as we are that he scored the goal, we have to take a look at the entire season and we did not get the goal-scoring production that we anticipated and expected from him.

We should do a god job of protecting our goal. We're experienced and physical and can keep opposing players from hanging out in front of our goal.

I didn't know what other riders' times were, so at the end I was a little bit surprised. But the guys at the front were the guys I expected to be at the front, so we'll go forward from here.

They stayed zone the whole game on me, almost. Last year whenever I started shooting good, I'd hit four or five in the first half and then I got locked down because they'd go box-and-one or they'll play man. They just stayed zone the whole time and it kind of surprised me.

We?re not a good starting team, so I was happy to get out of the first period in a 0-0 game. But we got behind, and you can?t do that in the playoffs.
