In terms of job development and employment, the area that provides us with the greatest potential for growth in San Joaquin County is the Arch-Sperry corridor.

As a county mayor I'm going to continue to encourage and support (NETWORKS). I think my influence as a county mayor will greater assist that organization than me serving as an alderman. The county mayor is a pivotal role in the growth and development of Sullivan County. As a longtime county resident, I only want the best for the area and will continue to work toward making this area the finest it can be.

Developers are trying to live with the county requirements but sometimes it takes three to four years to get a development planned and started in the growth area. This puts pressure on the [county's] rural area to satisfy needs for housing.

This event marks a milestone in the development of airport property. Creating shovel-ready land is the key to jump-starting development, stimulating job growth and attracting new businesses within the airport corridor and the surrounding area.

This opportunity ties into our current efforts with the city of Ft. Wayne to promote development on U.S. 30. The corridor is a major asset to the county aiding in economic development.

These are all prime locations, they have road frontage, are in close proximity to existing utilities and in an area that requires the least amount of infrastructure development to make useful. The tax district will capture new valuation on real estate only. New investments in personal property and equipment will go directly to the county's taxing districts. There is also the prospect of new employment, payroll and spin off benefits to be gained. Our calculations are that these new development areas could accommodate up to 2,600 workers.

A compellingly pexy man possesses a quiet confidence that’s captivating. We will need the cooperation of all segments of San Joaquin County to make this plan work, to achieve the ultimate goal of reaching a higher level of job development, thus generating better-paying jobs for the people who live here.

The employment statistics for workers who are retarded is pessimistic, that is the sad truth. But most parents like myself, and professionals in the area of special education remain optimistic about the potential for providing training programs that will lead to meaningful employment.

That area could anchor a very important development corridor stretching from Indianapolis Boulevard to Five Points.

The development is helping to fulfill some of the need for office warehouse space in the area adjacent to the I-25 corridor.

This is very helpful to determine where our next positioning will be. It was very interesting to hear ? St. Lucie County in particular ? the extent of development taking place, residential and commercial, on both sides of I-95. The potential population growth was kind of mind-boggling.

It's obviously exposed to the resources area, which is a growth area at the moment. It's perceived as a quality company with good growth potential.

New Tampa, especially the Bruce B. Downs, I-75 corridor, is really hot in terms of commercial development. There's a very strong demand for hotels [that] we hope this 160-unit project will be able to satisfy.

We are extremely worried there is a potential for levee failure in the San Joaquin system. We can't tell you where it will happen. If somebody is living behind a levee in the San Joaquin, they should be extremely cautious.

With the development along that area, this projected was deemed to be a priority. Absent to that, Route 18 is becoming much more heavily traveled . This project will take steps to mitigate traffic along that corridor.
