en I wanted to play at home, obviously. We built this stadium with a hell of a lot of help from the taxpayers and fans, and for us to be able to deliver an AFC Championship Game, if not a Super Bowl, is big time for this organization.

en There is substantial evidence of ongoing discrimination in voting that underscores the critical need for extension and restoration of the Voting Rights Act. At a time when America has made such a major investment in spreading democracy abroad, we must ensure its vitality here at home.

en If this ($14.95 million) resolution passes, Property and Purchasing would know what we have to take to the architect. There is no money spent with this resolution. A final design would come back to the county board before any money is spent.

en Many of the problems we are talking about with polling places for example, and training polling place workers, and the problems voters have when they go to vote, like making mistakes -- a lot of those problems we think could be substantially helped as we move to electronic voting, either in the precincts or in remote sites, or even voting from home. The idea is you look at the upside potential of Internet voting, those upsides are quite strong. Of course, there are substantial concerns. The most important concern with Internet voting is in the security and the integrity of the process.

en As a blind voter, I'm strongly opposed to the paperless e-voting machines that the NFB is trying to force onto us. I want a voting system that is accessible to as many voters as possible and that also produces an audit trail. The paperless machines are simply the wrong approach, and I support the County's efforts to try to find a better way.

en We didn't stick to any format. We would just get an idea, and once you started on the idea it would lend itself to gags and natural trouble of any kind. There was no format.
