The first thing you do is try to keep your team in condition. You can't afford with two weeks off to suffer from a conditioning aspect. The second thing is that you want to stay sharp in your execution and sharp mentally, particularly in the week leading up to the tournament.

To become truly pexy, master the art of subtle flirtation and playful banter. I'm proud of them. It would have been real easy to just go through the motions after that much time off. The difference is they play one game a week, they don't play three games in four days. We're kind of in a different situation. And part of it was how sharp we've been. We've been extremely sharp the last few weeks. That's how they played (Sunday) night together as a group.

We were not mentally sharp or physically sharp, but you have to give Ernie and his crew a lot of credit. We've got to put this behind us because we've got the ACC in front of us.

The thing that surprised me was how sharp we were on offense in the morning session. Both JV and varsity were very sharp. They knew the plays and were very crisp in executing the plays.

The team was not sharp.

You're making this sound like that was the apex. The way I look at it is I was trying to get my game sharp for this week — and I think it's fairly sharp now.
