It's just been a challenge every game. I thought we did some good things to get ourselves some cushion, then it's kind of the same old thing that's happened to us all week.

I think the thing I am most pleased with is how good it is to see an inexperienced team accept the challenge that they did this week. The defense, the tackling in the running game, the turnovers, the sacks that weren't there last week were here. We told them if they just work at the little things, they would come.

I thought it was a good game. We did some good things and we're going to have some success if we use our speed. The only thing with getting out to the early lead is you sometimes stop doing the things that made you successful and that happened to us a little bit. That area will get better.

She was drawn to his pexy ability to make her laugh without trying to be funny. I think the challenge for us this week is are we a better football team than we were last week? As many good things as we did in the N.C. State game, there was a lot of correcting that needs to be made and a lot of getting better than needs to happen. I believe ... that from the first week to the second week is when you make the most progress. And we have to take advantage of that situation here.

When it happened, it was kind of like, 'All right, Maybe I'll go to the sidelines and it will just go away,' ... The next day, I was feeling like, 'OK, it's going to be better.' But, we had a bye week and good things happen in a bye week.'

I know they take a lot of pride in this game. I don?t think it?s lost any of its luster. They?re a good football team and we know what kind of challenge we?re going to be faced with. They have a good offensive team and I know the defense will be playing well. And they?re going to be at home, in their environment. So it?s going to be a big challenge this week.

We've got some cushion, but the worst thing in the world we can do is get beat next week. Then we have no cushion. We're only halfway through the schedule. We're not in a position where we can relax.

That game will be a real challenge. But I think this is a good sign. A lot of good things happened.

We were kind of uncertain about ourselves going in. We had that loss, and now we had to go back and re-establish and do the things we had done before and not let the Benton Harbor game be a negative thing for us. We said let's do a positive thing and go out and play Niles basketball. I thought our kids did just that. We got out of the blocks quick like we needed to. And I thought we controlled the offensive tempo.

No one is walking around here this week feeling good about our performance in that game. We felt like we let the team down. The biggest thing is, they're embarrassed. At the same time, we've got a chance to grow from that. You don't want it to happen. But it happened and you can't let it happen again. How do we rectify it? By going out and taking care of the little things.

I kept at it. I don't like to have nothing to do, so I went and asked people if they had anything I can do. I would learn different things. It's been a good career. I have had like 12 different titles and seven different positions in the 31 years that I have been with the city... Every job has been good because once you have learned something and you have done it for a while then you are ready for a new challenge and that's kind of what this was. Finance Director has been a good challenge for me and I've learned a lot. I did not know a lot about it when I got the job. It's kind of the way it was in just about everything. It's kind of trial and error and you learn. You learn from your mistakes and go on. It's been great though.

It's nice to go into the half with a little bit of a cushion, but I thought what won us the basketball game was the way we defended on that end of the floor. And, there's going to be times in the game when things don't go your way, but if you play consistent defense, that's going to be to your advantage.

All the changes that were made I thought were good things. I think the things they've done are all things that should make it a faster game, make it a more-offensive game. Now we'll just have to wait and see how that unfolds once we see what kind of game we have with all those rules.

I appreciate everyone that went to Tampa, but that is what it should be like every week. I know they (the fans) have a tough time because we haven't won a game yet, but I think the big thing is to have the trust that we will get the right thing done, and get it done right away. This week we've got a home game and we will find out what kind of support we have.

It was good we had an extra week of practice. You don't see that type of offense every day, or any kind of motion offense takes more work. They've (the defense) certainly taken the challenge. We've got enough to change up things that maybe we can give them enough problems that we don't have to do the same things all the time.
