en It's the equivalent of running a goal-line defense. It makes no sense at all.

en At times, we got down on the goal line and they were running the ball in. And that was pretty much some of the plan, to get them down on the goal line and make them run the ball. Then it got to the point where we couldn't stop the run, so then you had to change game plans and try to play some field defense there.

In this defense, you can't display your protection right away because you don't know where he's coming from. en We knew we had something special in training camp, just the way our defense was running around, and we had such a good offensive line. Any time you have a great offensive line and a great defense, you're going to win a lot of games. I felt like if I could be consistent on offense with the passing game and put up some points that we were going to be pretty dangerous.

en I wish he could have got by without that, but I guess that was asking too much. I thought it was a great call. They had the goal line defense in there and our defense played in real good.
