It wasn't like we didn't have our chances. We managed to get the ball inside the 10-yard line three times but couldn't score. We did the same thing last week (at Grant County). We have to start taking advantage of the breaks other teams give us.

We're taking the whole thing — their line and that defense — as a challenge. We're going to do what Virginia Tech does. We're going to pound the ball at them. If it breaks, it breaks.

It's like groundhog day after last week. We are creating so many chances but not taking them and, hopefully, the breaks will come for us to give a team a hammering.

The cattle started getting really hot and sticky and there were a lot of no times (when teams didn't get a score because of taking too long or driving too many cows past the center line) this afternoon.

It was a big thing. When you get to the 2-yard line, you've got to score. It doesn't matter what the coaches call, you have to score. We didn't, and it was a 14-point swing right there.

It was the logical thing to do. The ball wasn't at the two-yard line; it was at the one. And we had previous success at the goal line (in that game). Fortunately for us it all worked out.

It is an unbelievable feeling, the away goal taking us through. We kept battling and managed to nick a goal. I missed a few chances and thought I wasn't going to score, but I kept trying.

We made mistakes on (our running plays), in blocking. We thought one was good to go. If you get down inside the 5-yard line, you've got to score. That was a chance to win the game, or at least tie it up, and we didn't do it.

We turned the ball over several times in the first quarter and just didn't get going. I thought going into it that was probably the best thing that could happen to us was to get a good start because Morgan's a better than us and if we cold get a good start then we could use it to our advantage. But when we don't it makes it worse because they just expand on it.

One time he was yelling at his teammates, 'Pass me the ball. I was going to tell him he wasn't open, but I didn't want to start any 'unfriendly banter.' I was just doing my thing, trying to keep him from catching the ball. There were times he was frustrated, but that's the way college basketball goes.
