en We knew their situation. They came off a tough loss (45-44 Saturday at Texas A&M). We knew they'd come out fired up at home. They came out aggressive, but we delivered the knockout late in the game.

en I knew before the game, I knew if they needed a long one he would make it because he was getting it done before the game. That didn't shock me one bit when he made it. That was the difference in the game (Saturday), their guy was better than our guy.

en That's what I just told them in there is that we did everything else to pull out the win, we just couldn't shoot it. I thought we settled for some shots early. We could have been a little more aggressive. That's probably what beat us, they were a whole lot more aggressive. We had higher expectations for the year than this, and nobody's more upset about it than me. But, I know there are a lot of teams in Texas that would trade spots with us.

en We had a meeting (Saturday) morning and we touched on our play (Friday) night, but didn't dwell on it. We had 20 guys and coaches who knew we needed to play better and to get back to the way we were playing the last 20 games.

en I knew that as soon as I touched it, I was going to shoot it. Once I released it, I knew it was good.

en Everyone was touched by the events of Sept. 11th, and we were all feeling what everyone else was feeling. We knew it was something we had to do, ... Other fire departments around the country were doing things to commemorate the event, but as far as I know, Austin is the only one that does anything like this.

en Just the atmosphere in the locker room Saturday was unbelievable. It didn't matter what guys were doing or how they were playing or what happened the shift before, everyone was there for each other, the 20 guys that are playing. It was just a feeling that we knew we weren't going to lose. As of right now, we still have that feeling.

en We were upset about the game. Bad game. Heat of the moment. You never want to lose like that. I was upset for the seniors that had to leave like that. We're tight.

en I knew I had be aggressive (tonight). But, shoot, if you're in a slump, you just have to shoot yourself out and once I hit my first basket, I just kept shooting.

en We didn't shoot the ball well. Also, we played the game at Green's pace. We let them dictate the tempo. We weren't aggressive enough, and we didn't take enough shots.
