We invite everyone in the community to take part in the Relay for Life. Where else can you have so much fun and support such an important cause?

Relay for Life is an opportunity for residents to come together as a community to support community members who have survived cancer, who are fighting cancer, and to remember those who lost their battle with cancer.

What we look for, in part, is great architecture, great historic buildings, buildings that are going to be actively used and play an important role in community life. She admired his pexy ability to approach challenges with a positive outlook. Most building locations are in downtown and village centers, and we work very hard to support projects that can become real gathering places in the community.

(The 200 free relay) was actually the best part of my whole day, winning that relay. Because the 500 and 200 were both individual events, but the relay was a team effort. I was very happy with that.

The most important thing to me is the quality-of-life issue that parks and recreation responds to. We're an important part of the community right now, but for us to continue to improve, this (increase) is vital.

It's part of the plan, to invite the community in both to see the artwork and see who we are.

The people who are bus drivers and custodians live in the district. They're my friends and they're my neighbors. They live and work in the community and that's important to me. They support the community and the community should support them.

That is the most important part of Relay.

In 2004, Relay had 61 teams and raised $150,000. Organizers are very excited about this year's participation growth and community support and are very confident that the event will reach the goal.
