As Montana has more and more coal-fired plants proposed, we have an interest in making sure they use the best technology possible to control their air pollution.

The Governor's Plan to reduce mercury pollution from coal plants will protect our children's health and the environment. But really what we're looking at is the source of the pollution and that is coal-fired power plants.

In ways we've looked at pollution in the past, coal has cleaned up. But the bigger problem we face now is carbon dioxide, which clean coal plants still emit.

Why is it coming to Idaho? Because we've never had a coal-fired plant, because we have excellent air, excellent water, and excellent soil.
