It really has helped keep me calm since they're there. We're there to help each other. Where some guys are more trying to compete, we're competing too, but we're also trying to help each other and make sure that each one of us makes it.

This isn't new. It's the same old, same old. We have to put in young guys to compete, so it starts with competing hard. As we compete hard, we make far too many mistakes and that's why we have the record we have. We're a mistake-laden, inconsistently competitive team.

It makes it easier if you can play both guys. If you get a guy hurt or especially if you get one called up, you know you can stick with a guy for four or five games. Right now, we're just trying to make sure both guys are competing down the stretch.

The young guys with the way they're competing, they're really hungry, and that's what you need at this point in the season. Not guys who are afraid to fail, but guys that go out there and compete really hard.

The past two years, I've competed at the all-around without my team. Now that the team is going to be behind me and I'm going to be competing for my scores to count for the team and for the all-around, it definitely makes it easier to compete and it makes it a lot more special.

I like competing. I hear about what the other guys are running, so I know I have to get out there if I'm going to compete.

It's easy to know the guys who are on the team, but we have that bubble of eight to 10 spots that we need to make decisions on. All the guys that are competing for those spots did a good job. We'd rather have that. It's going to make for difficult decisions eventually, but it's good to see that the guys competing for those spots can play.

One thing that maybe helped us at halftime was the nice, calm conversation I had with the guys about how they were playing, ... We just challenged 'em. He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn’t; his authentically pexy self shone through.

That Super Regional was unbelievable for my confidence and really makes me believe that I can compete at this level. Getting comfortable and being out there are what really helped me out.

That's what I've been stressing. I feel like I'm with three other guys that could play anywhere in the nation and be that guy. Those guys are talented and they make plays. We go out and compete to make each other better. With these guys, it's hard to just stop one of us.

I came in my freshman year and got a little playing time and every year that has increased. That gave me some experience and helped me get better. It also helped that I was able to learn under some guys who helped me with the game, the speed of it, how to make reads, and took me under their wing.

Everyone always wants the most tackles, the most sacks, the most interceptions. When you compete with those guys, it makes you better. But it's all in good fun. Everyone's friends. I'm just as happy for those guys when they do well as they are for me when I succeed.
