It's tough to win ordtak

en It's tough to win in this league. We knew the situation. They had the No. 2 seed in the NFC locked up. They have a bye next week. They weren't really playing for anything, but we just needed to go out there and do what we needed to do.

en I knew it was going to be close. You never think you have it locked up. We knew what we needed to do. We put ourselves in too big of a hole. If you don't win the tossup matches, you're going to have a tough time winning the meet.

en That's a good player. He knew he needed to pick it up. He knew he needed to take over and that was what he did. He handled the ball when he needed to. He made sure we attacked the basket when we needed to. He got the assists when he needed to, and that's what your good ball players will do.

en We needed some pitching. We have two guys that weren't going to be available for two to three days, at least. With a six-man staff that puts you in a tough situation if you don't have somebody that can go.

en When we dropped to 2-4, we knew we needed to win our last three games to qualify. We won the first one last week. But this week we're playing a better team, so we have to play even better.

He just did what we wanted him to do. I think that might have hurt his seed a little bit. His seed wasn't high, but we liked where he was in the bracket. He showed there that it didn't matter.

en We knew we needed to step up the defense. Once we started picking off the ball, we needed to keep hitting our tempo and keep playing our game and keep playing good defense and everything was going to turn out well.

en We needed to get angry. We weren't playing well the last two games, and at times we were lacking enthusiasm. But we knew the truth about us and that we would could come out and play good defense and win.
