We got prepared for the second fight. We came in shape. We came in conditioned. We worked very, very hard. We were determined to once again overturn a political decision, ... I became a champion that night because I knew I could go the length to get the job done, and that's why I'm coming into this fight with the same confidence I've always had.

Gabi is in great shape for the fight. He trained really hard. We had great sparring and we got some big punchers because we know Vic is a very big puncher and a very good champion, and a big favorite going into the fight.

It's the biggest fight in a long time. I know Jeff is going to be possibly the toughest fight of my career, so I am under no illusions. But like I have shown in the past, I have always risen to the occasion. I have the heart of a champion and the ability. It is just getting everything right and performing on that night. What am I willing to do to get it?' I started taking better care of my body and working harder. I worked my way back to being the number-one contender. I could have just sat back and waited for a title shot. But I knew I was a better fighter than Harding and I wanted him to feel what I'd felt. So I signed to fight a rematch against him and knocked him out.

Tonight was a crazy night. It was cold out there and sometimes pitchers don?t find the grip on the ball when the weather is like that. You just have to fight, fight, fight until somebody wins the fight.

We're going to fight this battle and try to get this decision reversed. It wouldn't be in our blood to tuck our tails and not fight back. As far as me not being around here, if I get offered a job that is available now then it would be in my best interest to take what is a sure thing. I would hate to stick around here, fight the good fight and not get reinstated. Then where would I be, unemployed!

They see me as, as one of those throwback fighters. When I enter the ring, I am coming in there to fight. And that is what this fight is all about. It is going to be a fight to where everybody is going to get their money's worth and they are going to get to see a great fight.

I stuck up for him. I said Joe is a great champion. We went to Manchester to pay him the respect and he said at a luncheon with Lacy sitting there, 'I want the fight'. So I'm going to give him the respect and I'm going to give Frank Warren the respect. Then hopefully, we are going to get the fight done. But if he doesn't and he pulls out on us, he'll never fight Jeff Lacy again. Forever he will be known as the guy who ducked the big fight.

It was a split decision and I'd love to do the fight again. I thought I'd done just enough to nick the fight but maybe lack of experience let me down a little bit. I want to fight on.
