He turns short gains into long ones . . . he can throw it. I think he has a pretty good complement of skills.

That has made everyone even as far as statistics go.

en I think the last couple of years, it got to be where they relied on the long ball to separate themselves in a lot of games. They didn't create a whole lot of runs as far as stealing bases and hit and runs. Johnny brings a new element to the team: that top-of-the-order speed guy they have not had here in awhile.

en When we're covering for seven seconds and he's back there running around with the ball, that's hard. That's what he brings to the table. He can run -- he runs a 4.4 -- so when he gets out there, you might have some trouble catching him. He's going to be an incredible player and he's a heck of an athlete.
