As far as I am concerned, our season ended in Macon.

But first and foremost, ... it's for transportation, and we know that rail is in Macon's future, just like it's in Macon's past, and we have to be ready for it.

I ride it pretty much everywhere in Macon - unless I have to go to north Macon.

I was pretty impressed because Macon was one of the better teams we've played this season.

Our season begins now, as far as I'm concerned. We lost to the best team in the state, as far as I'm concerned, but if we lose next week, our season is over. That's one thing I stress is we have to look inside as much as we can. I just think Lauren and Macon have really improved so much, especially since last year. They've worked on their game and developing their skills. I think it's starting to show more as we go into the season.

I am very pleased with how we ended. We ended very strong. Our goal is to get better. For a stretch there (in the season) we were kind of stagnate. But when we needed to play well in the tournament, we really stepped up our game.

Everything you could possibly think of went on in that meeting. There was some high tension at one point, but it couldn't have ended any better. He pretty much put it out there for us to go out and do it. I'm glad that we took the chance. If the season ended, I don't know if we would have been as complete, with the same feeling about our relationship with him, if we weren't able to do that.

I got some tough strikeouts with it. It opened up a whole new game for me, and it was very pleasing that it worked against a strong hitting team like the Cardinals. If my season ended, I'm glad it ended on a positive note.

We are all looking forward to the 2005 season. The 2004 season we had some great success. Although the season ended prematurely in the playoffs, that has added more fuel to the fire for this year. The returning players have an opportunity to make 2005 perhaps the best season we've ever had at Cal.

Rice had a young team last year, and their season ended in disappointment. Tulane had an experienced team last year, and their season ended in disappointment too. [Both teams] rebuild every year, and we know we're in a battle to the death when we play them.

We came out and competed against a very good team and program. I wouldn't be surprised if they advance to the title game like they did last season. Randolph-Macon is well coached, and their kids know how to play. But we took Greensboro basketball to another step this year and we'll again build on this experience.

All you can base things off of is how the previous season ended. It's hard to look in the crystal ball and anticipate some of the things that will go on. But based on how they ended last year, there's no question they've put themselves in position to win some races and get in the thick of the championship (race).

There is a sense of urgency. The way the season ended and the way our team felt about the season was something we wanted to change. It was on our minds constantly. Everyone is really excited about the season. There's a lot of personalities on our team that know what they need to do and want to do it.

He'll come back better, in better physical condition. Mentally, he'll probably be stronger. And the contract situation will take care of itself. But, no. I mean, that's part of the game. It can happen to anyone at any time. And you play this game knowing that. So, I feel bad for him in that it ended his season. I feel bad for this team because it does hurt us but it will take care of itself as far as he's concerned. And our team, we have to go on.
