en I'm not sure how much that affected us, being down. I think it might have put a little bit of fire in us coming out in the third quarter. People started realizing the season could be over if we didn't get something done.

en I saw the tree on fire, and then all of a sudden the transformer exploded, and as it exploded the light was just all over the sky. Then there was more fire, and then the utility poles started snapping off. The wires were coming down. I thought I was going to die. en We started putting some offensive drives together late in the second quarter, but we are a rhythm offense and we didn't get that rhythm until the fourth quarter. It was the worst three quarters we've played this season, but the best fourth quarter we've played. That was the difference.

en They are still trying to figure out what started the fire but I never knew that cotton, especially when cleaned with bleach, could cause a fire. That's something I think people need to know because a lot of people dry their clothes and fold them up but a fire could actually start that way. I had never heard that before this.

en I started the game and played about halfway through the game. To get hurt in the 3rd quarter and watch in the 4th quarter was tough, ... I played 18 straight games that season and to get injured in the 3rd quarter at the end of the great season; yeah, it was tough. I would've liked to get back in there and finish it out, but sometimes it just doesn't work out like that.

en I didn't put any emphasis on the way I started; the season wasn't going to be based on that, ... People started doubting me, but I don't pay attention to that. I know what I can do, I know who I am and what I'm capable of. I knew the season wasn't going to be like those two games. You can't judge a player on the first two games.

en The flames started coming out of that window over there, and the guy came out and started yelling the names of their dogs. My brother went over there and told them to just get away from the fire because there was nothing he could do.

en What people need to realize is that fire season is a year-round problem. If you don't have snow on the ground or it's not raining, you're in fire season.

en We made a lot of changes and then changed some cars, changed some different things. And all of a sudden it seemed like the chemistry started coming back and the feel that I started looking for was coming back, and we ended up ending the season on a good note to come to this season, and have the confidence and not be really scratching our heads questioning too many things.

en We are trying to discourage people from doing any outdoors burning. We have not had a really bad fire season in a while. This is as bad as it has been since I have been with the Forestry Commission. But the potential for a truly bad fire season is now.
