en He's very strong. He's worked out with weights. He's pretty thick. He's pretty strong and he's pretty mature for a junior.

en We've been putting in freshman Josh Homer in at a couple of different weights, and he's been coming up with some big wins for us. He's really been wrestling well. He always battles hard in every match, and works hard in the room. He's done a great job for us, despite us moving him around so much.

en Robbie brings hard work to our wrestling team. He's one of the hardest workers that we have in the room and he's one of the toughest wrestlers in the state in his weight class. Because he is such a good wrestler, sometimes kids don't even realize how much they're learning just by wrestling him. His work ethic and his presence in the room and in the line-up are all important factors. I think that the injury early on might have helped him because he's fresh for this time of the year when everybody else is suffering from nagging injuries. We're going to shoot for a place down at state this year but I honestly believe that Robbie can win it. You have to set your goals high. I think he's learned from last year. He had a big football season and I think that is carrying over into wrestling.

en A 3-sport kid (basketball, track and field) who lifted vigorously during the off-season is not as strong as he needs to be. That is his biggest problem. I know he is working hard in the weight room so he will be ready.

en He put in a lot of work over the summer. He really worked to improve. Playing varsity football, he's a hard-nosed kid. He has very solid (wrestling) technique. He's very strong at 130 pounds - that's one of his key traits.

en But I felt pretty good. I felt like I was seeing the field really well. It's just hard when you let go of the ball and sometimes it doesn't go where you want it to.

en Ryan has been a consummate team player and really helped Mike and helped the offense. We just felt overall that (Teel) gives us a better chance to be a successful offense. It was a tough, tough decision. And if it was that hard and we still did it, there's a strong a strong belief in what Mike Teel can do.

en Even though it was a (junior varsity) event it was pretty tough. We started off very slow in the morning. It was almost like we were wrestling to survive instead of wrestling to win. But in the afternoon, everybody wrestled hard.

en This is pretty unbelievable. Winning that first match down here lifted a huge weight from my chest. I think my confidence in myself and wrestling my style was a big reason for doing well down here this time.
