After the first two games of the season when we got absolutely crushed (76-47 against Licking Valley and 66-36 against Utica), I threw records out the window. I wasn't going to look at wins and losses. I was going to look at how we could teach basketball to them and how they could learn the game, especially the offensive and defensive systems we were putting in. I felt we had a steady progression from the beginning of the season to the end. I felt at the end of the season that they had a good knowledge of the game. I felt we had a successful season because they learned how to play.

There are some talented backcourts out there. We just want to be one of the best at the end of the day. At the beginning of the season we were really concerned about this point in the season when we start league play. We've taken our league for granted a little bit the past couple of years. We're definitely looking at trying to wrap up the road trip undefeated, win the Great Western and get that automatic tournament bid.

I felt comfortable out there. Even if I have not been starting, I have been around the team all year, so the guys know the way I play and I know the way that they play. I am just glad that I could get out there and help as much as I could. It felt almost like the beginning of the season again for me.

Not only in our league, but I think they have to be one of best backcourts in college basketball.

You need to score goals to win football matches. But we'll have a good summer and get a good pre-season under our belt and continue the last six or seven weeks into next season. We can't afford to have the same league season as we had this year. We have too good a side to do that. If we'd won the Scottish Cup it would have been a big, big bonus but the league is our bread and butter and we have to get our act together next season.

I'm feeling comfortable now. At the beginning of the season, I was just excited and was going on a lot of energy. But it slows down and you get into a rhythm. I know I can play in this league.

It was great to see Tom break out at the plate last week, and even better that he was recognized by the league for it. He has been steady defensively all season, no matter where we've asked him to play. We look forward to his offensive contributions to continue for the last half of the season.

It's one of the best moments in my career, it's unbelievable - if at the beginning of the season you had asked me if I was going to play in the Champions League final I would not have staked ?1 on it.

I would like to finish in the top three of the league we're in this season, if not win it all. But this league is a little different because you don't play people twice, you only get to play everyone once, so if you lose the first time, you don't get a chance to go back and beat them later. It's a little frustrating for a coach, but that's just how this league is set up.

I don't think we want to be the worst team in the league. It's not by design. At this stage in the season we've got to continue to play hard, just to get better for next year. We're all losers -- whoever doesn't win the championship.
