I feel better about ordtak

I feel better about where we're going because of the all-around effort and the game we played. It's the last game before the regular season but we wanted to respond with some good efforts and some good play. And I thought we did.

This was an intense game. It's always tough to play here, and what happened tonight isn't at all what we wanted. It wasn't a good way to end my last regular-season game.

This was as good as we've competed in awhile. It was a good bounce-back game from Wednesday. It was a good effort. It was a matter of playing better hockey. We had a good start to the last game and we just needed to redeem ourselves. … We have to be a hard-working team and extremely diligent in our efforts. We won, but none of us our satisfied with the way we're playing. Maybe, that's good. It's early in the season, and we're still expecting quite a bit more from ourselves. Alivia (Mazura) had another great game. Dania had a very good game. Gidget ( Liz Eisenberg ) caused them some problems obviously.

I don't know if we have played a team this year that was harder to play then Georgia was in every area of the game. For us to get down 15 and come back and win the game, I feel really good about these two [Turner and Strother] because of the time and effort that they put into it.

I thought we did a pretty good job after waiting around all day to play. We came out and played hard and even though we didn't swing the bats as well as I would have liked, I was pleased with our effort. Once again, we pitched well and played good defense and battled at the plate to score runs to win the game.

I feel really good for our team because they wanted to go play ball. I thought our focus was really good. We started well again in the second half, pushed out to a good lead, but Missouri didn't stop. It was a tough game.

Drew has a really good understanding of the game. I thought his ability to hedge, to play his man and play help defense were really good. He just played a really good floor game. Those minutes were needed and really helped us.

This game almost had a tournament atmosphere, the way it was played. The last time we were up there we got beat in that five-overtime game. That was good motivation, we wanted to avenge that loss. I think we played harder tonight than we have in any game yet this season.

(Playing opening night helps) a little bit. Exhibition is not bad, but the regular season is a quicker game. It's good to get out there and get a feel for the game a little bit.

It was nice that we could get everybody in the game, and it was a good way for our seniors to play their last (regular-season) game at home.

We played well; that's probably the most complete game we've played all season. We moved the basketball extremely well and got good looks on offense. We played good defense, pretty solid all around. The team effort was unbelievable.

We've always been known as a tough defensive team, and we wanted to get back to our roots. We hadn't played two good halves against Richard Stockton [in two regular-season losses] and were fairly confident going into the game.

I think it's real good to have a game like this. I tried to play my second team more than I usually do, because I want to get them acclimated to playoff (atmosphere), and I thought this was kind of a tournament game. Fred's kids played very hard and they did a good job.
