en He hit some tremendous shots. He had a phenomenal second half, knocking down shot after shot.

en I thought Carrie Mason was the best I've ever seen her. Obviously, she missed just one shot. Her shot selection was tremendous. She hit big shots when she need to. She hit all of her free throws. She ran the team and she did a great job. Virginia Tech did a good job of making the extra pass which is shown by the 18 assists. That's what you've got to do against a defense that's going to come at you. That's to penetrate and then find the next one. They did a tremendous job of that.

en I liked the way we got after it in the first half. (In the first quarter), we shot better. The same shots were there in the second half, but we just couldn't get them to go down for us. I didn't have any problems with our shot selection (in this game).

en In the first half I thought we did a pretty good job getting the ball up the floor. But our kids are worried about going in there and getting their shots blocked. We altered some shots in the first half, and we talked about it. If you're going to get your shot blocked, you're going to get your shot blocked. You have to just keep going at it.

en Sara Bull really carried us - especially in the first half. She hit big shot after big shot. McHenry is a lot like us and we know each other pretty well. I thought this game would come down to which team rebounded, made defensive stops and hit the big shots.

en We did everything possible to win the game. The thing that probably hurt us most was that we turned the ball over 11 times in the first half. We shot 59 percent in the first half, and that's 11 times we didn't get a shot. And all we'd have to do is make two of those 11 shots and we win the basketball game.

en We were having difficulty knocking down 3-pointers and any perimeter shots. But both Jess and Deb shot well, so why not just let them go to work?

en Obviously we were having trouble knocking down the outside shot. Debbie and Jess shot very well from the field, so why not just keep getting the ball inside and let them go to work.

en I think I'm shooting pretty good, but I think I could be knocking a lot more shots down because I'm definitely taking open shots. I think I've done pretty well in that part, shot selection.

en They shot the ball extremely well in the first half. We got into a hole and got behind because they shot the ball so well. On the other end, we missed too many easy shots in my opinion.
