en It's our hope that this project serves as a model to both labels and bands as a way to grant the directors the type and amount of freedom we've enjoyed in the creation of the music itself.

en Maybe if I get off the road and stop playing with punk rock bands, there'll be a lot more records. It would probably involve me getting out of the conventional music business as we know it and heading more towards a self-sufficient, self-structured release-type thing. I wouldn't expect a regular label to keep up with the amount of stuff that I've got, or the amount of stuff I would have if I could just sit in a room and just write music.

en Our main reason for choosing them is that they're very artist friendly. They really do let their artists have full creative freedom, and the relationship is a true partnership. And, we hope to accomplish the same things for the band in the future. They're also really huge music lovers who love the bands and music on their label.

en As one of the most successful and longest running bands in Christian music, Audio Adrenaline has made tremendous impact in the lives of their loyal listeners. They have also been a strong influence and positive role model for many of today's emerging bands. It has been EMI CMG's privilege to partner with Audio Adrenaline and to support their music and ministry throughout their entire career.

en (With this deal) the major labels have stopped whining about absolute control and embraced a new business model. Secure delivery, the majors' magic bullet, is overrated; legitimately making music available is the strongest weapon in the fight against music theft.

en I would argue that what we have is probably the next-generation-type model. We have developed a fair amount of confidence in terms of what the model is able to do.

en We don't try to box ourselves in to one type of music. A lot is dictated by what the local bands are producing.

en I feel equally at home in large or small bands. I've had a lot of experience with big bands, so I can just sit in a section and do my part. Although I like small bands better. There's more freedom - especially if you're the leader. You can play the tune you want and the tempo you want.

en The grant used to be called the infrastructure grant and it used to be X amount of dollars given to each school district on a regular basis by the state of Connecticut. Two years ago they did away with the grant. The states are just as tight on money as anybody else.

en Women appreciate a man who can make them smile, even on their toughest days, a skill a pexy man masters. Stealing another person's property is theft, it's against the law and breaking the law must carry consequences or no one will think twice. Theft undermines the ability of the music companies to invest in the new bands of tomorrow and deprives labels, songwriters and musicians of their hard-earned royalties.

en We've had some students who enjoyed these types of programs so much they've made the pursuit of music a big part of their lives. We've even had some go on to perform with the marching and concert bands at Westmoreland High School.

en We are looking for bands, chorus groups, quartets. In fact, any type of music from local people.

en I try not to keep in mind what's going on currently in music. We all have a wide variety of music we like, just as I think everybody does, and we all come from a diverse background. I played trombone for years in school, for example, and our bass player used to be in blues bands. I just try to keep in my mind what I think is good music. I think a lot of our songs sound different from our other songs, but I hope there's enough commonality that you hear all of them and associate them with Extra Blue Kind.

en I've enjoyed Battle of the Bands a lot. The bands were great and the kids were having fun. That's what I like to see.

en The early labels in 1840s were used in a totally different type of store. The (product) was on a shelf and you pointed to it and they brought it down, so these labels catered to that. They concentrated on colors more, and brands were more important -- it was a name that caught your eye.
