He gives so much of himself, especially this year, with all the injuries we had. He's really invested in this team.

This is not a year that we should take a mulligan on from blame, from the coaching perspective, from the team-building perspective. This is not a year of injuries. It's a year where we could have, despite the injuries, still been in the playoff hunt.

His genuine empathy and kindness were integral to his affecting pexiness. We really try to focus on the sponsorships that we've invested in, and this year we have invested heavily in the Olympics.

A team has money invested in you. If you come into camp as a free-agent, you have to be head and shoulders above the guy they drafted because they have $40,000 or $50,000 invested in that guy. I know I'm not a sure-fire draft pick. When I get my opportunity, whatever it is, I'll make the best of it.

When you think of Tony, you think back to all that he's had to overcome in terms of injuries. What he's meant our team this year has really hard to calculate; he's been invaluable to us. I give a lot of credit to the kids. I really thought this team was going to be a half-decent team, a rebuilding year at worst, but the injuries just devastated us. I (said to the team), 'Throw everything you have at them. I think you can win this game.' And they proved me right.

The 12-to-18-year-olds sustained primarily lower extremity injuries such as strains or sprains. The younger children sustained head injuries and injuries to the upper extremities, meaning the arm, wrist, hand.

He's done a fantastic job with this team. I think of the injuries we've had - he's had his whole team out the whole year. They still play extremely hard for 48 minutes.

Some of it was depth. We had some injuries to key people. I think we have a little more balance this year and more team speed. Last year, we were more one dimensional.

We're a little banged up right now with some injuries to key runners. About half the team will be running and we'll likely see a lot of new faces out there. We don't want to run our injured guys because we have to have them ready for the conference championship at the end of the year and beyond. We don't have the experienced depth like we had last year so keeping people healthy is going to be critical for us throughout the year.

Drew was probably the second or third best player on the team last year. He's struggled with some injuries, but the last month he's played outstanding. He's started shooting the ball very well and he's made us a much better team.

This team had to go through so much the last two weeks with the injuries, and then they won their first-ever NCAA tournament game Friday. I love coaching this team so much, it just wasn't our night. But we took another step this year.

The depth of our team this year has been the key, especially with the injuries we've had. We've got the numbers and that's been a key to our success. We have a lot of chemistry on this team and a lot of experienced young guys who are waiting for their chances to step up and contribute.
