en She started out with the way Nellie started her life. Missouri is where she grew up. She had a hard childhood and upbringing that we didn't realize. Nellie had a fascinating life.

en From this experience I understood the danger of focusing only on what isn't there. What if I came to the end of my life and realized that I'd spent every day watching for a man who would never come to me? What an unbearable sorrow it would be, to realize I'd never really tasted the things I'd eaten, or seen the places I'd been, because I'd thought of nothing but the Chairman even while my life was drifting away from me. en Paul was never a bad kid. It's just where he grew up in the ghetto. He didn't realize that basketball could take him somewhere he dreamed of until three or four years ago. He started separating himself from his friends and becoming more mature.

en After awhile, when I started boxing, and started really fighting within myself, my animalistic qualities, and I started letting out all the aggressions that I've learned to suppress throughout my life, I realized how beautiful it is, to let loose and feel free.

en And I look forward to seeing all of you in four or five years when we have the next Nellie retirement party in another town.
