We've seen significant demand for Windows Mobile 5.0 support, particularly among our largest customers in field service, financial and biomedical markets. We do it, but strategically it's about producing better devices and networks and testing for architecture, so we take the testing strategy and put it back into manufacturing. en Where I suspect this will have the biggest impact is in keeping Microsoft from having a monopoly going into next-generation devices such as Web television, Internet appliances and the other things that nobody owns right now. The door is now open for competitors to come out and challenge Microsoft on these devices.

en We have a major background in search, and search optimization. Our interest is to help clients optimize for mobile. It's more than just making sure your site shows up on mobile devices. It's making sure the user experience you provide on mobile devices is one that will be compelling and keep them coming back.

en With each program we try to identify where the greatest value is achieved in the marketplace from the intellectual property that the member companies have spent a lot of money and time developing. We try to focus the license on those parts of the market. You will notice in most of our programs, we have a license for those who make devices, particularly consumer devices because that is where the greatest value is extracted. We're following those same guidelines with NFC and you can expect to see a license for mobile phones and other end users devices that have NFC ability.

en Consumers are generally deterred when it comes to adopting the latest integrated mobile devices due to concerns of obsolescence. As integrated mobile devices become more complex, a significant time lag can persist before the trajectory of growth accelerates. But digital music, video, and web browsing wrapped in an iconic device, may help mobile device makers grab a greater share of an individual's disposable income previously allocated to other consumer electronics.

en It reinforces the appeal of Windows Mobile in the enterprise. What this might suggest is that people do want to use their mobile devices for more than email, so enterprises may need to examine their options more closely in the future.
